Masked

A mask, I wear
So no one sees
Who I may truly be
Do I trust you?

Plain Mask, boring mask
Same every day
No one can see me
I cannot trust them

At home I smile
At school I laugh
In the darkness of the night
I pull away my mask

Screaming and crying
The day's sorrows catch me tight
Tears of loneliness
Seep down my face

The mask, I wear
It silences me
It hides my tears
It hides me
